Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using any service operated by TeamThink Solutions (Pty) Ltd trading as Devv Technology ("Devv", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable South African laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Scope of Services

These Terms govern access to the Devv ecosystem, including:

• Devv Hub (devv.co.za) — identity, billing, and app directory
• WeBook — appointment scheduling for healthcare and service businesses
• Stagr — artist and event discovery platform
• Ebook Reader — author publishing and reader platform
• Any additional apps listed at devv.co.za/apps

Each application may maintain supplementary terms that apply in addition to these master Terms. In the event of conflict, the supplementary terms prevail for app-specific matters.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Devv account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at security@devv.co.za of any unauthorised account access. One person may not maintain multiple accounts without written consent.

4. Billing & Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Paystack. All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining period except where required by law.
• Failed payments result in a 7-day grace period after which access may be suspended.
• Devv reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.

5. Ebook Platform — Author Commission Schedule

Author earnings accumulate in the Ebook Wallet. Payouts are processed within 7 business days of a withdrawal request, subject to the 7-day payment holding period applied to new transactions for fraud prevention purposes. Minimum payout threshold: R50.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload, publish, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our platforms.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without written permission.
• Circumvent access controls, authentication systems, or rate limits.
• Impersonate another user or organisation.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All Devv platform code, design, trademarks, and proprietary content are owned by TeamThink Solutions (Pty) Ltd. You retain ownership of content you publish (e.g., ebooks, author bios) but grant Devv a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute your content solely for platform operation purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Devv Technology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability in any calendar year shall not exceed the total fees you paid to Devv in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. You may close your account via the dashboard settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to access the services ceases immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy retention schedule.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the AFSA Arbitration Rules in Johannesburg. The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 applies where relevant.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' written notice for material changes. Your continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance. For minor changes (typos, formatting, clarifications), we will update the version number and date without prior notice.
